A $12 million investment in Rock Island is finally done.
Today was the official ribbon cutting for the Goldman Family Block downtown.
Made up of 6 buildings on 2nd avenue, the block has apartments and commercial space.
The renovation started in the early 90's, and now in 2013, it's finally complete.
Developers said it's an essential part of making downtown Rock Island a desirable place to live and work.
"Not only does it provide quality new housing that is affordable to all residents within the city of Rock Island, but it also is incubating new business," said Brian Hollenback, president of Renaissance Rock Island, the developer.
Apartments are still available.
