Fire in East Moline

A fire broke out at house on Barstow Rd in East Moline around 4:00AM Tuesday morning.

The Carbon Cliff Fire Department tells us it took firefighters about 25 minutes to get it under control.

A man and his pets were able to get out of the home safely.

The damage cost is unknown, but the Carbon Cliff Fire Department says they were able to salvage a lot.

They also say they still don't know what started the fire, and that it's still under investigation.
