The city of Davenport
has declared a Snow Emergency today based on predicted weather.
The Snow Emergency will be in effect beginning at 12:00PM
Tuesday Feb. 26 through 12:00PM Wednesday Feb. 27.
Drivers are reminded that they cannot park on posted Snow
Routes during a Snow Emergency. Vehicles that park on those routes could be
ticketed and towed.
Visitors to the downtown Davenport area can park for free in any of
three parking ramps: Redstone, RiverCenter and Harrison Streets.
Davenport Public Works encourages residents to park off the
street even if not on a Snow Route.
But if you do have to park on the street, they ask you park on the even
side of the street Tuesday and the odd side on Wednesday. This will help snowplow
crews.
