She's been fixing cuts and bruises on kids for more than 30 years and one Goose Lake woman is being named the 2013 Iowa School Nurse of the Year.
Barb Randolph has seen it all in the Northeast School District, from broken bones to fevers. She says she's even noticed some second generation students come through her door.
Randolph tells us she was at a loss for words in the grocery store when she found out about the honor.
"Totally excited and thrilled," she says. "I mean I couldn't believe me here in rural Goose Lake won that award - it means a lot."
School leaders say they couldn't be more proud of Randolph and the award she's earned.
