NEW YORK, Feb. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert Sammons has joined Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) at its New York City headquarters as head of research for the New York Tri-State region. Mr. Sammons will oversee NGKF's research platform, establish national standards and best practices, identify and publish reports and trends in the market, and manage the research staff in the New York Tri-State region.

Prior to joining NGKF, Mr. Sammons was the director of research at Cassidy Turley. Prior to Cassidy Turley, Mr. Sammons was with the New York City Economic Development Corporation, where he assisted companies with location decisions, and introduced a quarterly market report on New York real estate and economic activity for clients. Earlier in his career, he was with Cushman & Wakefield.

Mr. Sammons is a member of the Urban Land Institute, New York Chapter, and the NYC Office of Management & Budget Economic Advisory Panel. He holds an M.S. degree in real estate from Georgia State University and a B.B.A. in real estate from the University of Georgia.
