SUNDAY EVENING UPDATE
It's not until early Tuesday morning that the chance for snow arrives. That's when the WINTER STORM WATCH takes affect. For most counties, the watch runs from early Tuesday morning until midnight Tuesday.
Heaviest snows will stay off to the Quad Cities' south and east. Places like Galesburg, Burlington, and Fairfield could pick up 4-6" with isolated higher amounts possible. Neighborhoods along and just south of I-80, including the QC Metro, could pick up 3-5". Areas further north including Iowa City, Clinton, Galena, and Sterling could get 2-4" of snow.
Of course we'll keep you posted of any changes in the forecast as the storm gets closer. It's still early, but based on what we are seeing this is what we're forecasting right now.
