Quad Citians put on their best threads and headed out to the iWireless center tonight to celebrate, while raising money for a good cause.
Gigi's Playhouse, an agency which helps people with Down Syndrome, held their annual "I have a voice" gala.
Folks gathered at the black tie affair for dinner, dancing, a silent auction, and a raffle.
Gigi's Playhouse has free educational and therapeutic programs, the event tonight raises money to keep them free.
"There are so many misperceptions about down syndrome, there are so many outdated perceptions about down syndrome, and we're here to show what down syndrome is today. To show all of the abilities and potentials of these kids," said Michelle Hughes of Gigi's Playhouse.
Gigi's Playhouse is a national organization with fifteen chapters, one of which is here in the Quad Cities.
