This is not your typical charity run.
The 3rd annual Red Dress Run raced around Rock Island today.
Around a hundred men and women put on red dresses and ran around the city, stopping along the way, to drink and play games.
The event is sponsored by the Quad City Hash House Harriers and benefits the American Heart Association.
Organizers said the race is so popular because it's something different.
"I just think it's something fun. You don't just run as fast as you can, which, if you've ever done a 5K is very painful. We stop along the way," said Jeni Tackett, one of the QC Hash House Harriers leaders.
The event raised $1,000 last year, and organizers are hoping to double that this year
