Everything must go! That was the theme at a Rock Island VFW auction this morning.

The VFW Post 1303 was forced to close down on 9th street to make room for the new Walmart that is coming to town.

The post closed in December and they are still searching for a new place to call home.

Today, they auctioned off everything and the money will go towards a new building.

"It's really hard to see the things we worked so hard to build and acquire but it's a necessity we understand needs to be done," says P.J. Hymes, Commander, VFW Post 1303.

If you were a member of Post 1303, you can still go to meetings at the Moose Lodge every first Thursday of the month.
