Quad Citians were bowling strikes for a cause Saturday.
Hundreds came out to help raise money for Junior Achievement of the Heartland in its 30th annual Bowl–a–thon.
290 teams were hitting the lanes all across the QC.
Organizers say it's overwhelming seeing all the community support.
"My favorite part is to see the enthusiasm of people and to have them really like what we're doing and that they believe in what we're doing," says Barbara VenHorst, President of Junior Achievement of the Heartland.
Around $300,000 is expected to be raised this weekend. The money will help fund the organization to go into classrooms and teach students how to succeed in business.
