Davenport leaders also voted Wednesday night on plans for improving the city's sewer system. The project will restore the sewers by putting in a new lining to help seal the pipes.
With the project costing over a million dollars, city leaders said sewer rates "will" likely go up. But, the improvements have been ordered by the Iowa DNR. And city leaders said the upgrade is long overdue.
