A winter storm is heading for the Quad Cities and it's set to arrive Thursday evening. After a quiet start to the day snow will overspread the area between 4pm and 9pm Thursday night. In the Quad Cities a Winter Weather Adv. goes into effect at 6pm Thursday and lasts until Friday at 3pm. In the metro area we're looking at 4-6 inches of snow by the time things wrap up on Friday.
Places West of the QC, including Iowa City and Muscatine will see heavier snow, ranging from 6-9 inches! West of the Quad Cities it's a WINTER STORM WARNING from Thursday evening through Friday afternoon. Roads will be covered with snow for most of Thursday night.
