Bettendorf votes to repair sewer system

A plan to overhaul the Bettendorf sewer system is one step closer to reality.

The city council voted tonight to go ahead with sewer system improvements ordered by the Iowa DNR.

The changes will be for Bettendorf, Davenport, Riverdale, and Panorama Park, to prevent too much waste from going into the Mississippi.

All four cities involved will have to sign off before it can move forward.
