IL Gun Law Hearings Held

Expanding gun safety laws, that was the focus of a public forum in Springfield.

The House Judiciary Committee is being forced to re-write their gun laws, after a federal court has instructed Illinois to join 49 other states and adopt a concealed carry law by June.

But given recent high profile shootings in Chicago and elsewhere across the country, lawmakers say they want to pass laws that are appropriate to limit gun violence.

There will be another forum in Chicago on Friday.
