This
morning Clinton City Council will make a last ditch effort to keep animals off
the streets.
City Council
will meet to try and come up with a plan on how to work with the humane
society, or figure out another option.
The Clinton
Humane Society asked for more money back in August, and city council voted to
extend their contract.
Now
that contract is up, and city council can't seem to agree on a resolution.
The
mayor vetoed another contract extension, and a motion to take six weeks to look
more into the issue was denied as well.
City
leaders say they hope to figure something out today, or they risk being in
violation of state law.
