Casa Guanajuato's director Michael Woods has some words of
wisdom after President Obama's immigration proposal leak.
The president's plan would create a visa for those in the
country illegally, and let them become legal within eight years.
The initiative has already drawn immediate criticism from
some republicans, who are also searching for a comprehensive plan.
Whatever happens in the future, Woods said bipartisanship is
the key.
"We cannot have a single partisan decision when it
comes to immigration reform. Immigration
is going to take both sides of the alley to realize that it's everyone that
lives in this country," said Woods.
In the senate, four Republicans and four Democrats are
hammering out a bill, which they hope to have ready by March.
