The Clinton City Council did not vote on the YWCA funding, they will continue discussing the topic at another meeting on Tuesday.
An organization which helps hundreds of abuse victims every year could be forced to shut down.
Clinton YWCA leaders are expected to learn Monday whether or not they will have to close up shop.
The organization needs $100,000 to stay afloat after state budget cuts decimated their budget. Leaders are asking the city for $50,000 and will seek the rest from the public.
City Council is expected to make its decision Monday night.
