Former Accused Landlord Killer Set Free

Originally accused of robbing and killing an Iowa City landlord, Charles Thompson is now free.

He was sentenced today to accessory after the fact, in the death of Iowa City landlord John Versypt. He's also agreed to testify against another man charged in the case, Justin Marshall.

Thompson and 2 others were originally charged with murder after the 2008 death.

Thompson's first trial ended in a mistrial.
