Road closure in Rock Island

7th Ave heading east between 11th and 12th Streets in Rock Island will be closed due to an emergency sewer repair.

Starting on Friday morning the road will be closed, officials predict the repairs will be done and the street will be open again by the middle of next week.

City officials are asking that drivers follow all construction signs on the detours and watch for trucks entering and leaving the construction zones.
