A huge sewer project is about to begin in the Quad Cities. The Davenport city council voted tonight to go ahead with a 224 million dollar project which will prevent millions of gallons of sewer water from dumping into the Mississippi River.
It's a project the Iowa D.N.R. and the E.P.A. are working on with Davenport, Bettendorf, Riverdale and Panorama Park. The aging sewer system will take 13 years to fix. The next step is for all four mayors to sign the agreement.
