A $6,000 air conditioning unit has been stolen from a Moline
school.
Some time Saturday night, thieves stole the air conditioner
from behind St. Paul Lutheran School off 19th avenue.
Police said a truck or van would have been needed to steal
the unit from its base.
They said two people were likely involved, and they
definitely knew what they were doing.
"They were able to disable the power and they removed
it in such a way that we think a reinstalled unit was their intent," said
Detective Scott Williams of the Moline Police Department and Crime Stoppers.
