More jobs and businesses are coming to Moline.
The old Menards building near John Deere Road has been sold to a private developer from Chicago.
Moline City leaders said the building will be renovated to hold four tenants. One tenants will be a discount retail store and city leaders think it will become a big attraction for shoppers.
"Having a retailer that's new to the Quad Cities completely is going to bring more people further away than just those people from Moline and Rock Island too," Moline City Planning and Development Director, Ray Forsythe said.
City officials said the store could be open by the end of summer.
