Students at Muscatine Community College are taking on quite a challenge. They're learning Chinese.
"We have some Chinese delegations coming to visit, and typically they know more about our culture and our language than we do of theirs, so we want to at least know a little more about their culture to understand them a bit better," says Tony Joseph, Student, Chinese Cultural Class.
There are more than 30 students in the Chinese Cultural class.
Tomorrow is the Chinese New Year and students say they're excited to learn how the holiday is celebrated.
Muscatine has strong ties with the soon to be president of china and will be sending two high school students there over spring break.
