Veteran's Memorial Park in Davenport, is one step closer to completion.

Today Davenport officials interviewed 14 design firms for phase two of the development.

City officials said they're looking for certain features in proposals.

An important one?  Incorporating multiple senses into the memorial.

"With today's veterans, many of which are aging, many of which do not have all five senses in working order, making a meaningful experience from that standpoint," said Zach Peterson, a landscape architect with the City of Davenport.

Davenport officials said they'll make their choice next Friday.
