Ashford Univ. Employee Charged With Stealing From School

An employee of Ashford University has been charged with stealing more than $10,000 from the Clinton School.

Stacy Powers was the Student Development and Activities Coordinator for Ashford.

She was placed on administrative leave last April, after Ashford officials discovered withdrawals and debit card purchases they did not authorize.

Police say Powers made the charges for personal use.
