RI Middle School Students Learning Leadership

A local program is teaching Rock Island Middle School students, how to be leaders.

The leadership squad is back at Edison Junior High today. Forming last fall, it teaches a core group of student's leadership and problem solving skills, both of which are essential for a successful future.

"You're prepared if you ever have to be a leader," said Annika Hong, an 8th grader.  "If you want to own a company you got to know how to be a good leader you can't just let other people take over."

The program continues for the next three Mondays.
