IL Considering Shoe Tax

Folks in Illinois could soon be paying more for athletic shoes.

One state rep is proposing raising the price per pair by 25 cents.

The extra money would go to a youth job preparation program.

But not everyone's excited about the unique idea. The Illinois retail merchants association says it will fight the proposal because it creates paperwork for store owners.
