It has to be the shoes. The Baltimore Ravens will be sporting some special cleats during today's Super Bowl. Under Armour has supplied the team with gold cleats for the big game.
According to LarryBrownSports.com Baltimore's captain had his own custom pair made. Linebacker Ray Lewis is playing the final game of a legendary career. Lewis announced he will retire following the season right before the playoffs began.
The bottom of Lewis' Super Bowl cleats are a virtual resume of his career accomplishments. On the insole his stats and awards are listed along with a silhouette of Lewis during a pre game dance. His number 52 along with the initials R.L. are printed on the tongue of the shoes. Finally the words "Psalms 91" appear on the toes of the cleats. That bible verse was the one Lewis wore on a t-shirt during Baltimore's wild-card win.
