Folks dressed to the nines tonight for the 14th annual Make a Wish Gala tonight.
A silent and live auction were highlights of the fancy soiree that attracted more than 800 people.
All proceeds from the auction and dinner go to Make a Wish of Iowa, which helps kids with cancer fulfill a dream.
Event organizers said make a wish is important for sick kids and their families.
"We know that the feedback we get from families is that wishes really lift support," said Dawn Rahe of the Riverbend Committee, one of the event sponsors.
Last year 12 wishes were granted for kids with cancer here in the Quad Cities.
