Illinois has launched a new medicaid program.
The State Department of Healthcare and Family Services has added 40,000 people to an integrated care program.
It provides services at home and in a nursing home.
The first phase of the program is focused on standard services.
The second phase adds long term care.
And the third phase will help those dealing with developmental disabilities.
State officials said the idea is to save the government money and offer better care.
