United Way is donating big bucks to Quad City programs.
This year, the charity raised 8.4 million dollars to fund more than 90 programs throughout the region, focusing on education, income and health. This is the 40th year the charity has raised money, and leaders say it's all because of outstanding community support.
"We're really a volunteer driven organization that has a staff based level of support to make sure everything happens that needs to happen," says Scott Crane, President, United Way QCA.
Organizers say they're already thinking about ways to raise even more money next year.
