The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) today issued a report on disciplinary actions taken during December, 2012.

Doctors and nurses from our area that were disciplined include:

Dr. Israel Fernando of Moline who lost his license for 90 days and will be put on at least two years probation for a pattern of demonstrating incompetence to practice dermatology.

Dr. Kent Van Why of Moline was placed on indefinite probation for prior discipline from the state of Iowa.

Rodger Vanhyfte of East Moline had his nursing license put on probation with work restrictions for at least two years after he pled guilty to reckless conduct after he drank alcohol while on duty.

LPN Kym Anderson's license is suspended for at least a year for violating the terms of a Care, Counseling and Treatment Agreement.

Jennie McKenzie of Fulton has had her license restored with a reprimand for a prior discipline of her Iowa registered nursing license.
