Crashes snarling highway traffic

As weather conditions get worse drivers are finding highway travel a slippery mess.

Near West Liberty, Iowa multiple crashes are slowing traffic on I-80 in both directions. The Iowa State Patrol reports at least one semi in the median.

Earlier this morning a Scott County Deputy escaped injury after his patrol car was hit on Highway 61 near Long Grove.

The deputy was out of the car investigating another accident when a car lost control and struck his squad.
