Mid American Energy is reminding customers the snow and ice may knock out power to your home or business.

If that happens, check fuses and circuit breakers, then call Mid American at 800-799-4443.

Keep a flashlight and fresh batteries on hand.

Always watch those burning candles.

Avoid plowing snow against meters or gas regulators.

If you have a standby generator, make sure it is installed properly.

Always use a broom, not a shovel, to remove snow from meters.
