Lincoln Academy in Davenport is getting closer to having a new purpose.
The recently closed school will soon be home to several different programs.
"We have several people chosen to work out agreements and leases with," says Dr. Art Tate, Superintendent for the Davenport School District. "Early childhood is looking for a couple of rooms. We have after school programs looking for administration offices and our home school wants administrations offices."
The building will also house Davenport's Head Start program.
School leaders hope to finish repurposing the building by the end of this summer and have it ready when school reopens.
