The Rock Island County Coroner has released how an East Moline woman died after her car crashed into the Mississippi in December.
Leah Manche, 28, was found dead on December 10th after a passing officer spotted her red Pontiac in the water around 3 A.M. Crews were able to pull the car out about five hours later.
Coroner Brian Gustafson said Manche died of "presumed drowning due to a motor vehicle mishap" and that her death is considered accidental.
Manche did have alcohol in her system, which the coroner believes was a contributing factor in the accident.
