A visiting artist and some local kids make art out of others garbage.
"We're making a mural. It's a book with like, a sky, and a tree, and a stream with a fish in it," said Avery, one of the helpers in the library.
Bottle caps are Michelle Stitzlein's material of choice.
The Ohio artist visited the Bettendorf Library this weekend to give a workshop on using recyclables to make art.
Today a mural was built for the library.
Michelle said the experience for the kids, is a unique one.
"I think this is a good excuse for thinking outside the box. And that's important in any field that you go into, not just art," said Michelle Stitzlein.
The bottle cap art mural is going up in the children's section of the Bettendorf Library.
