Known for pushing the envelope when it comes to the drama department,
Moline High School is tackling a tough issue this spring; AIDS.

"Different, I've never really done a dramatic play before."

Christian Frieden plays Benjamin, a boy born with AIDS in the play, The Yellow Boat.

The play's director says the true story not only gives an inside look at the child's life but shows the strength and courage of all kids.

Frieden says playing such a difficult part has given him a new outlook on what people living with AIDS go through.

"Looking at AIDS from a different standpoint, I know a lot of people tend to joke about it, but I think after being in this play, it really affects families especially."

You can see The Yellow Boat this Thursday night at 7 at The Moline High School Auditorium.
