Hispanic Chamber Gala Coming Up

Hispanic Americans in the Quad Cities are celebrating a year of successes.

The annual Great Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce gala is this weekend.

The evening is a celebration of the organizations accomplishments, and recognition of members and supporters.

The keynote speaker is Nina Vaca, a Latina CEO who will be speaking on the growth of Hispanic business across the country, and here in the Quad Cities.

"Every day more and more of the decisions that are made by businesses and organizations are taking into consideration the needs of the Hispanic community," said Alvaro Macias of the Great Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

The gala begins Saturday evening at 5:30 at the Waterfront Convention Center in Bettendorf.
