Tonight the city of Moline could be one step closer to having an Amtrak station.
Last week Renew Moline announced that they would endorse the Amin Group to be the new developers for the passenger rail station.
Tonight Moline City Council members are expected to vote on the recommendation at the council meeting.
"Because they've been a really good partner in the city and the Quad Cities area. They are very active in the John Deere Classic as well as have made significant investment into the Radisson," said Ray Forsythe, Moline Planning and Development Director.
Amin wants to convert the old Sears building into not only a hub for transportation, but also a coffee shop and restaurants.
