Murder charges in Galesburg stabbing

What began as a disturbance call ended with one man dead and another behind bars in Galesburg.

Police were called to 18 Chestnut Street around 12:30 Sunday morning.  When they arrived they found Robert Kilgore suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Kilgore was taken to Galesburg Cottage Hospital and later to St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, where he died.

Around 7:00 Sunday morning police located Kai Lefler in the 200 block of Lake Street where he was arrested.  He is currently in the Knox County Jail.

Lefler is charged with Murder and Aggravated Battery.
