Alleged Davenport Burglars Caught

Davenport police arrest three men today in connection with 35 commercial burglaries in Scott County

19-year-olds Alan Barnett and Joshua Hayes, along with 18-year-old Dean Smeltzer, all of Davenport, face multiple counts of felony charges.

Davenport detectives recovered a 45 caliber handgun as well as property and evidence today linking the men to 35 burglaries dating back to last November.
