Folks in the QCA, the Red Cross needs your blood.
The gateway area chapter in Clinton is holding a special blood drive to encourage new donors to give blood.
Organizers from the Red Cross say with the latest tragedies in the east coast, there is a greater need for donations.
That's why the gateway Red Cross board is stepping up to help those in need.
"thousands of units of blood that would have been collected were not collected, so when we heard that, that's when we scheduled this blood drive specifically because there is a greater need for the blood right now," says Rachael Vopatek, chair, red cross gateway area chapter.
Folks from the Red Cross say you can donate blood every 56 days. And every Tuesday, you can give blood in Fulton.
