Flames burned it to the ground, and today Del's owner, David Delvechio, are picking up the pieces and trying to move on.
"It really hit home today when I woke up and there was nowhere to do I mean you wake up and go to work and for the past 18 years it's been the same place."
Fire and smoke took over in Eldridge Thursday as Del's Pub and Eatery went up in flames.
The building was over one hundred years old and it's been Del's for the past 18 years.
David took over the business for his dad and says seeing the building burn down with all his memories inside was terrible to watch.
"The worst day I've ever had. I was married there and it was my livelihood, and it all went up in flames in one day. Probably the worst day of my life so far, and I hope ever will be."
There's still no word on how the fire got started but David says he plans on rebuilding.
