A high speed, two-state chase ended with three people arrested Friday morning.
It started in Clinton when officers saw a car identified as being involved in an earlier assault. The three people in the car spotted the police and took off at a high rate of speed.
Police chased the car across the Highway 136 bridge into Fulton, where Fulton Police joined the pursuit.
Engine trouble stopped the car near the intersection of Highway 30 and Tucker Road, where the three people tried to run. They were soon caught.
No one was hurt and no vehicles were damaged in the chase. Charges are pending against the driver.
