Davenport Menards might not be alone

Menards is coming to Davenport but it might not be alone. 

Wednesday, the Davenport committee of the whole voted to combine three lots on the corner of 65th Street just west of North Brady.
And city council member, Gene Meeker, tells us a strip mall could tag along with Menards.
 
"What they call out lots, you can do other things on the sight just like the Wal-Mart out on Elmore they have other businesses on that lot other than Wal-Mart, so it could be any other business that would want to associate with Menards or just be separate."
 
The lot combination will be voted on at next weeks city council meeting, and construction on the new Menards is expected to start this spring.
