Augustana College is singing to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
On Saturday, students will perform a musical tribute commemorating the life of dr. king and the legacy he left with us.
Singers, dancers, and powerful speakers will pay tribute to what king lived for and died for.
The theme of the commemoration is social justice, and event organizers say they hope to bring folks together.
"It brings the community together and because its music we feel like music, people just come together and music inspires individuals, so we're excited about that," says mark Anderson, assistant dean of students, Augustana College.
The event starts at 6 pm at Centennial Hall in Augustana College, and is free to the public.
