Sheley gets life for Reed murder

Convicted murderer Nicholas Sheley learned his fate in a Whiteside County courtroom Wednesday morning.

Sheley had been found guilty for the murder of 93 year old Russell Reed.

Sheley was sentenced today to life in prison for the murder, followed by a sentence of 30 years for home invasion, followed by 15 years for burglary.

Today's sentence will follow Sheley's serving out a term of life in prison for the murder of Ronald Randall of Galesburg.
