There's a new place for kids to play in Rock Island.
A brand new playground has been installed in upper Longview Park.
The update is part of the city's ongoing playground replacement program.
The new equipment meets new regulations, and city officials say it's exciting for the kids.
"Look for as many ways for the kids to be able to climb up, climb up, around, and escape. Because after they start playing on it for a while then it starts to turn into a game of tag," said Bill Nelson of Rock Island Parks and Recreation.
The playground is modeled after a tree house, to blend in with the surroundings.
