QC kids won't have to wait until summer to enjoy some fun in the sun.
The Quad Cities Botanical Center has brought in two tons of sand for families to enjoy a giant sandbox. Kids can bring their own toys and dig in.
Gardeners say it's a great way to get out of the cold and beat that cabin fever.
"Their sandboxes outside are frozen," says Dave Searl, Head Gardner for the Quad Cities Botanical Center. "So maybe they got some toys for Christmas and this is a great opportunity for them to play in the nice warm environment."
The tropical sandbox will be at the QC Botanical Center in Rock Island for the next month.
